Important Info

What do I need to know before my first consultation?

We will fully assess your injury or condition on the initial appointment and give you a full explanation of our findings with recommendations for self help strategies. We will also be able to advise you regarding a treatment plan and the approximate number and frequency of sessions you will require. We would be grateful if you could complete our registration form and COVID screening form online prior to your first appointment.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

A referral letter from your Consultant, GP, or other referring practitioner, if appropriate, along with copies of any other relevant letters, x-rays, MRI scans or other investigations or results. It is also helpful to have a list of any medication you may be taking at the time. Please note that it is not necessary to have a referral, we are very happy to see self referring patients; however this may have implications if you are claiming through your medical insurance company.

All patients are required to wear a mask whilst in clinic.

What should I wear?

Loose comfortable clothing which will allow easy access to the body part to be treated e.g. shorts for low back and lower limb problems, and a strappy top or sports bra for upper limb and neck problems. It is also beneficial to bring footwear for sports injuries.

We would request that you wear a mask at this time.

We will be wearing a mask, apron and gloves during your treatment.

Can I be accompanied?

You are welcomed to be accompanied for your treatment session. All persons entering the clinic will have to complete a COVID screening form. Please contact reception if you have any queries.

What happens if I miss my appointment?

A cancellation fee is payable on all appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment time.

What should I do if I have travelled recently?

We are keeping updated on current government advice and are unable to invite patients into clinic who are within a period of quarantine following travel. We are able to offer a telehealth appointment as an alternative or a face to face appointment following the quarantine period.

What information do I need to tell the clinic?

It is of the utmost importance that you inform us of any underlying health conditions that may place you in the vulnerable category for COVID-19. We are making every effort to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our more vulnerable patients and will endeavour to offer an appointment either first thing in the morning or after lunch to provide extended airing of the clinic room prior to the appointment.
